OK so the other day I shared a clever little app which is very of the moment as it showed people tweeting about the snow in the UK and you guys seemed to like it.

This got me thinking about the best Twitter map mash-ups that are out there and there are quite a few, so I have done a bit of research and here are my top five.

Twittearth

  1. My Tweet Map – This is another site that merges Google maps and My Tweet MapsTwitter. It has a nice look and feel to it very clean and simple to use.
  2. Atlas This uses Microsoft’s live maps and merges it with twitter. It can be a little tricky to use as it constantly moves with your mouse but it is interesting as there are clearly tweets from all around the world
  3. GeoTwitter – this uses Google maps and twitter. The only drawback to this service is it didn’t seem to be used by that many people although it does seem popular in Spain.
  4. Twitt Earth – I think this Geo Twitteris the best looking but I couldn’t get it working properly. It is pretty globe that shows tweets by location.
  5. TwitterVision – This is another that combines Google maps and twitter.

Do you agree? Or do you have a Twitter mash-up you would like us to feature, feel free to drop us a line.
